The AHIMA 2024-2027 Strategic Plan: A Roadmap to the Future

As directed by the Board of Directors, the AHIMA 2024-2027 Strategic Plan has been created. We are all extremely excited about the release of the new plan, as it marks the renewal of our commitment to service.

The staff and the Board took considerable time and effort to "get this right" for all of our members and the professional community we serve.

Our AHIMA Enterprise staff plays a role in our collective success and is aligning their work with these strategic objectives.

I am grateful for their hard work and commitment to AHIMA and serving our professional community as we begin to carry out this very important plan.

In addition to this release, the tactics which fulfill every objective in this plan number more than 90. Those tactics are how we will do the work of the plan and make good on our promises to all of you.

This plan will create the roadmap to success for our organization over the next three years. Although AHIMA is already a wonderful organization, we will be a better organization in three years than we are today. That's the purpose of strategic planning.

This was not a "feel good" exercise, but one that will guide us to better service and enhanced programmatic development.

We are your professional home, and our existence rests on the foundation that we matter to you. We hope that this plan will be evidence of that commitment.
