Service Begins with Culture

To have confidence that AHIMA is focused on our members' needs and interests, one first must believe that AHIMA has returned to its roots of service.

Certainly, you should trust and verify. However, I will assure you that service to our members and the HI professional community is core to who AHIMA is, our mission, and of primary importance to our wonderful staff.

Caring for all of you, our members, must be intrinsic to all we do. As evidence to this commitment are the guiding principles that all our staff participated in creating earlier this year.

In other words, if the AHIMA staff care for and respect one another, this culture will translate to the same for all of you.

These guiding principles define who we are, how we hope to treat each other and, of course, how we will treat our members.
