Building the Future of HI Together at AHIMA25

If you’ve ever been part of a national conference, you know it takes a village to bring it to life. This October, we're excited for you to participate in an amazing experience, as the health information (HI) community gathers for three days of education, connection, and inspiration at AHIMA25 October 12-14 in Minneapolis, MN.

There’s something for everyone at AHIMA25. Our pre-conference workshops give you the chance to take a deeper dive, whether that’s preparing for a new credential or exploring the tools and technologies shaping HI today.

Educators will have a dedicated space in the Assembly on Education Workshop and our Educators’ Luncheon. Students and emerging professionals will have their own specialty sessions designed to help launch careers. And across seven educational tracks, you’ll find sessions led by some of the brightest minds in HI, covering everything from coding and informatics to privacy and security. Artificial intelligence (AI) will also be a hot topic, with multiple sessions that move beyond the buzz and explore how these tools are already influencing data accuracy, compliance, and the patient experience.

At AHIMA25, there’s a lot to look forward to beyond the session rooms. Our exhibit hall will be alive with opportunities: the Career Center, AHIMA Booth, Meet Up Hub, Tech Demos, and Bite-Sized Learning sessions are built to inspire and spark new ideas. Poster presentations and Coffee & Connect conversations with Component Association leaders will keep the energy high and create space for real connection. We are also excited to welcome over 100 exhibitors and sponsors who will be engaged and ready to showcase services that enhance and support the future of the HI community.

Before leaving Minneapolis, we’ll come together to close out the event with the Data for Better Health Food Drive in partnership with US Hunger. It’s a reminder that while we’re advancing our profession, we’re also caring for the communities around us.

Of course, none of this happens without the tireless work of so many: our conference planning committee, our staff, our volunteer leaders, and every single presenter who has stepped up to share their expertise. We are incredibly grateful for the collaborative efforts that are on full display throughout the planning process and, most importantly, onsite as we experience it all together!  

AHIMA25 is about momentum. Health information is not standing still; it’s expanding into new settings, powered by new technologies like AI, and led by professionals who aren’t just keeping up but setting the pace. This year’s theme, Empower. Evolve. Impact., reflects the spirit of our community and the future we’re building together.
