Break It Down: ICD-10-PCS
During a stop on the AHIMA Academy for ICD-10-CM/PCS “train-the-trainer” seminar tour, ICD-10 trainer and coding expert Melanie Endicott broke down an ICD-10-PCS code, writing out one character at a time and reviewing its meaning.

Great job Melanie! I want to take your seminar.
After working in the field for a year and a half I can see that I really need to re-visit my anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, and coding instruction books. My old friends!
Your video was very remindful of sitting in your college coding class, I was taking notes just like I did then. Didn’t we do that a couple of times during our ICD-10 overview? Implementation is a lot closer now than it was then.
Great job, keep up the good work.
