AHIMA Launches New BoK with Fresh Look, Improved Functionality
AHIMA has launched a redesigned HIM Body of KnowledgeTM (BoK) online library with a modern, more intuitive, and user-friendly look. The new BoK, available at http://bok.ahima.org, also features improved functionality to help users locate AHIMA’s content easier and faster.
The enhanced search functionality on the new BoK includes a prominent placement on the homepage, as well as quick access links to basic, advanced, and topic searches, and direct links to recent and popular content.
Additionally, the search box is available on every page, allowing users to quickly perform another search without having to navigate back to a search page. Search results can be refined, changed to select the desired number of items per page, sorted, or saved for quick future access. You can also save search queries and, if you use a feed reader, subscribe to any query to be alerted when new content is added on that subject of interest.
When articles are viewed, related articles appear on the page for further exploration. Articles may also be saved and printed in PDF format. After initial set up, one’s myBoK account will automatically be available after log-in, providing easy access to saved items and search queries.
The original BoK was launched in September 2001. This latest BoK version was developed based on feedback from users to ensure popular features were improved upon and new, desired user features were incorporated.
The new BoK is available at http://bok.ahima.org.
