AHIMA CEO Nominated to Modern Healthcare’s ‘100 Most Influential People in Healthcare’ Ballot

AHIMA CEO Lynne Thomas Gordon has been nominated as one of Modern Healthcare’s “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare” for 2015, alongside top federal health officials, researchers, and other industry leaders.

The trade magazine Modern Healthcare honors 100 individuals “who are deemed by their peers and an expert panel to be the most influential individuals in the industry, in terms of leadership and impact with rankings published in our annual list.” This is the fourth year that Gordon has been recognized on the top 100 list. Readers can vote for as many as five nominees.

Other notable healthcare luminaries nominated this year include HHS Secretary Sylvia Matthews Burwell; Dr. William Bria, chairman, Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems; Dr. Atul Gawande, Surgeon, professor, researcher, author, Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health; and President Barack Obama, among others.
