Dear Sirs: I am hoping you can help me. I'm a pharmacist in California. I am in need of clarification of the ePrescribing initiatives. I am confused about the faxing of prescriptions for Part D patients after 1/1/09. Can a prescriber continue to print prescriptions, manually sign them, and then fax them to the pharmacy if that pharmacy. Would the answer be the same for Part D and Non Part D patients? Can the prescriber fax manually signed controlled substance prescriptions for both Part D and Non part D patients? And where is this information printed so that I can have it as a reference?
